i got a ds lite that does not power on, flip the switch on, no lights what so ever, plug a charger in a red light comes on but then goes off, and i know that the battery is good. so i bridged the f1 and f2 fuses and still no power the same thing. i used car wire not speaker, regular car wire like the wiring in the car. is this the problem or is there something else. thanks

If you used anything OTHER than a strand of speaker wire to bridge either of the fuses it would not suprise me at all if you permanently damaged the logic board with excessive heat.

The next thing (other than that) that I would suspect woult be the charging circuit.

Sounds like your logic board is toast.

ok i know this is a possibility that the mobo would be bad, but i checked the fuses before even bridging them and they were good and the ds still didnt turn on at all. the red light would come on as soon as you put a charger in and then the light would turn back off. so i decided to bridge the fuses, so that didnt fix, so i unbridged the fuses and they are still reading good as in 0 or 1 or 2. any thoughts other than mobo bad. thansk

There are few replacable parts on the logic board unless you have parts and SMT soldering equipment.

You could "cherry pick" by replacing components, but you've already replaced 2 of the 4 or 5 replaceable parts.

If it's an IC gone bad (such as the charging circuit) you're pretty much SOL.
