the hinge on the screen of my daughters ds lite is broken.when wa put the card in it just comes on for a second and then powers off.is there anybody or anywhere we could get this repair done in dublin area.
its reasonably easy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQlTpTLUyFQ top screen may have come loose you will need to disconnect and reconnect screen as its prob a loose connection, i do ds lites but live in south wales sorry im not closer. replacement shells are on ebay.
if you need to replace top screen there are cheap places in china, priceangels, dealextreme, focalprice. etc the speakers are soldered to top screen so some basic soldering will need to be done to remove them from top screen if broken and replace them on new screen.

Replaced the case on my girls ds lite about 2 months ago. It fairly easy apart from getting them them bl***y shoulder buttons to work correctly. you should be fine just take it slow.
