EZ-Flash VI Black screen?

Any owners of this card having black screens? When I turn the DS on and tap on Tak to get into the EZ-Flash menu, it just stays black.

I have the latest kernel for it and already tried redownloading and pasting over it.

Im wondering if its defective..
