GTA Chinatown Wars region lock

So I've been on ebay browsing for gta CW. However quite a few of the listings claim that the US game will not work on a different region dsi.

As i understand, dsi plays all ds games and is only region locked for dsi specific games. I have an aussie dsi and have played plenty of US ds games before but obviously not the gta yet. can anyone confirm that a US copy of gta CW will still work on a non-US dsi?
