You probably need to update the card for the newer firmware on the DSiXL. This guide should get you there. http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=168862

Ok here is what I done.I tried the m3i in normal dsi and works no probs.I then put a different m3i card into my dsi xl and it worked.

Why wont the first m3i play.I even copied the contents from the working m3i on to one that dont work and still no joy,but it will work on small dsi

Whats going on????

Keep getting An error has occurred.Press and hold the Power buttton and so on...

Either the DSiXL has a higher firmware than your DSi and the card needs an update (which, if you read the link I provided, is NOT the standard firmware that is on the SD card. This firmware is stored on an internal chip in the M3i, not the SD)

Or the contact points on the card are not making proper contact with the DSiXL. If that is the case then you can sometimes fix the problem by slipping a piece of paper between the back of the card and the inside of the DS.
