Micro SD card help with R4

So I bought a SanDisk 2g Micro SD but when I put it into my laptop it doesn't come up in My Computer or whatever, though with my R4 the DS recognizes it(it just says COULDNT FIND DSvMENU.DAT though). Under Device Manager it shows up with a big yellow exclamation mark thing but when I click all I get is "This device cannot start. (Code 10)". What's the deal?

My laptop does not have a slot for micro sd cards, I use a Micro to SD Adapter. I tried it on my friend's laptop and it recognized it so I reformatted it and I still can't see it on my laptop. I mean when I freaken put it in my laptop it makes that noise like the computer knows it was inserted but it doesn't appear in my MY COMPUTER.
