NDS Backup Tool: Cant connect to access point

Im trying to use the NDS Backup Tool on my DS Lite to inject some of my .sav files into the DS retail cart. I have a DS Two Supercard. Unfortunately, I cant post links, but Ill describe what Ive been using.

Im following the GBATEMP guide NDS_Backup_Tool-WIFI

Im using this: Amazon product B00333AWTA as an access point and I can connect to it in games (via adhoc mode) just fine.

Ive forwarded Port 21 on my router, edited the .ini file with all of the IPv4 addresses I could find (there were 3, 2 for the AP stick and 1 for my wireless network).

Im still getting the message: "Cant Connect with the access point of wifi. Please confirm the wifi setting" A confirm"

Please help!
