Need help with Mario Kart wi-fi!

Ok, so I tried putting ASCII characters to the output hex box, and it simply didn't work. When I clicked Submit, I simply got an error, so the only way is by putting the ASCII paraphrase as usual, and then it outputs the hex. This is frustrating!
Also, there's nowhere within the admin page where I can use ASCII WEP. Hex seems to be the only option.

One thing that I noticed though: the transmission rate was set to 11 Mbps, up till last night, when I changed it to 2 Mbps. But I noticed on another computer (that's connected wirelessly), that when I saw the wireless icon on the lower right hand corner of the Windows tray, it still says 11 Mbps instead of 2. Do I have to restart the router or what?

when making changes to router its always a good idea to reboot it, you can do this from the router settings. the only other way i can think of getting you online is with a http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog...IwAw#ps-sellers but your pc will have to always be on to play games, have you updated the firmware on the router?
