New DS with R4 problem

Hey Guys,

just bought two R4 cards with Sandisk 4gb micro SD cards containing 80 games each. I bought them in Vietnam. Both R4 cards load and work fine on my son's DS Lite (bought about 3 years ago). I bought my daughter a new DS lite yesterday and neither of the cards work on it. The screen says "there is no DS card inserted". other games work fine on the new DS Lite. Any clues?

Not making contact with the DS contacts, use a thin piece of card or folded paper behind the R4 to push it on to the DS contacts. (this does take a few attampts but works in the end)

Its called the paper shim trick - very common
