Hi guys, I just bought the 3ds xl european version. Because I wanted to play the 3ds
game "Rune Facory 4", which I bought in the US during my holiday. Until now
I had the DSi XL and it wasn't a problem to play US-Games. Unfortunately
Nintendo startet to built the 3ds with a region code. Is there a way that I
still can play the orginial 3ds games and ds games on my 3ds xl european version?

R4i Gold Card for 3DS xl with wood kernel are the best available solution right now. It has near perfect workable lists of DS games on 3DS console. And AFAIK, no region lock http://www.r4flashcart.com/8-wood-r4i-g...nd-ds-lite.html

Well there is a 3ds version of the R4 http://www.thegamerdepot.com/buy-wood-r...sids-p-150.html is the best out there, get this r4i gold card and put the Wood kernel on it. You won't be disappointed.

if you want to play 3ds games, only the gateway 3ds card can do it. and if you want to play ds games, a lot of r4 cards can do it, recommend the r4i gold 3ds card, this one: http://www.modchipfactory.com/wood-r4i-...s-lite-p-1.html

maybe as you knew, at present, only gateway 3ds can support 3ds rom, but it has some requirment for your N3DS firmware, if your 3DS version higher than v4.5,then you cant use it. If all you want is playing nds games, then i recommend r4i gold 3ds,this is the most famous card,can work on all 3ds and dsi latest firmware directly,if you need,here is a store for you : http://www.modchipwarehouse.com/r4i-gol...s-lite-p-1.html
