Problem with DS Fire card

Hi there

My son has a DS Lite with a DS Fire Card, the 16G Bit version (on the box it says 2007 Fire Link for NDS / NDS Lite). It has previously worked just fine with various ROMs.

He decided he wished to change over some ROMs and replace with others. Since then, we have had no end of problems!

This is the version where you don't have a micro SD card, but instead you have a slot that goes into the bottom of the DS and connects with a USB cable.

I think the issue is a firmware one, and I have tried numerous different versions, but still no joy.

The message you get when booting up is:

Error: Open xmenu.dat error!

Can a kind soul point me in the right direction of what I need to do to fix this please?
