R4 SDHC cartridge

Got a R4 upgrade limited SDHC cartridge card for my mem card. The memory card is working fine but the R4 cartidge (that the mem card fits into) is just sitting at the loading screen on my DS. i have heard about upgrades etc - what can I do to get it to work please.
