Wow what an awful site!

From what I can see you need to update the kernal on the card first (ignore their name of it)

Add R4i.dat, moonshl2, _DS_Menu to the micro SD

put it in the ds - hopefully it will update the kernal (may need to select the R4i dat) , add everything else and see if it works

New R4i Golds are for DSi version 1.4, what firmware is your DSi running, I have seen that a 1.3 firmware DSi will not run a 1.4 flashcart

you can try lower it might be the upgrade, as long as you run it on the sd card and dont flash the rom no harm will come.

Hello All and a marry christmas

Found this unofficial one for the r4igold.cn mario edition card

http://rapidshare.com/files/319051970/r4dtm2.7z

And it´s a dstti clone so you can try the following works for me..

If you get hold of the latest unofficial DSTT firmware (with the fake killer removed), then extract it to your sd card. You will end up with a TTMENU folder as well as the existing SYSTEM folder.

After that delete the r4i.dat and r4i.au from the root directory of the card.

Copy ttmenu.dat twice to the card, once as r4i.dat and the second time as r4i.au

Card should then boot straight into the DSTT menu.

You won't get the moonshell front end then but can at least use it for games.

You can then delete all the moonshell folders to free up some more space if you are so inclined as well as the SYSTEM directory on the card.

My problem is that the mario edition card is very very slov to start games does yours do slov start on games to or have you been getting good start op speed ?

Best Regards

Hi,
Sorry to hijack the thread but I have a similar problem.
I have a Nintendo DSi for my daughter bought in the UK that has been updated to ver 1.4E. I have purchased an R4i Gold also and downloaded the files from their website www.r4-pro.com. Whenever I try to start the R4 from the DSi menu I get the message an error has occurred, what have I done wrong or what else do I need to do?

I have tried Mickoz74 sugestions and searched everywhere for firmware but still no joy!

Thanks

Hi Sean

Having a similar problem to you, I have been searching everywhere to download the correct software to the card but to no avail.

I have attempted to download the unofficial software you posted but Rapidshare will not allow anymore downloads, if I was to provide me email address would you be as kind to send it me direct.

Many Thanks

I have returned the R4i Gold and ordered an M3i Zero. The R4i Gold can not be flashed where as the M3i Zero can and comes with a USB flash lead to install new firmware.

I will let you know how it goes
