R4i sdhc (white box) turns off DS when closed

Hey guys, I have a minor problem. I'm using an R4i sdhc (white box) running v 2.7b firmware on my DSi. Whenever I have a game running and I close the DS, it powers off. I know that the card is the reason for this because it doesn't power off when I have an original game cartridge running. Suggestions?
