Hi,
I have an R4 revolution and I am trying to upgrade it to overcome issues running recient games.
In its old working state the following files/folders are on the card:
MoonShell folder
mypictures folder
R4 folder
r4.dat
dodTTMENU.SYS.dod
TTMENU.sys
I do not know what they all do, but they work and continue to work when I copy them back.

I have tried following the upgrade and the new setup instructions to load the latest version (i think) R4_v1.18_English.zip
Under a dir called English This contains:
24/04/2008 20:27 <DIR> moonshl
24/04/2008 17:03 1,410,048 _DS_MENU.DAT
18/07/2007 15:41 497,728 _DS_MSHL.NDS
24/04/2008 20:27 <DIR> _system_

method 1 tried - copied all above files and dirs to the / on the sd card
method 2 tried from the R4 site
Connect the TF card to PC with the card reader, then, go to the "/SYSTEM" directory on the disk.
A- Loading the game kernel: Copy the "_DS_MENU.DAT" at the directory of the simplified game kernel/ traditional game kernel to the root directory of TF card.
B- Loading the media kernel: Copy the ?moonshl? folder and the ?_DS_MSHL.NDS? file at the ?moonshell? directory to the root directory of TF card;
C- Load the DIY interface: Copy all the folders "_system_" to the root directory of the TF card.

Note 1 - I do not have a "/system" dir or a disk ??? so I went to the root dir on the MicroSD card.
Note 2 - I do not have used the old Moonshell dir to copy the moonshl dir to - again if it was a new setup - where did this moonshell dir comefrom?

And I always get the :-( MicroSD face saying menu?

Please could someone provide some idiot proof instructions or am I putting petrol in a diesel car?
