I went to http://www.r4ds.cn/ and they don't have an option to buy one. I looked around a few pages here and people are saying there is a lot of fake ones floating around? Where can I buy one that doesn't suck?

Hm, at that site the R4DS with a 2g sd card is only $20. I thought a combination of the two was suppose to be $50-$70?

Its cheap because ALL R4 cards are copies anymore. They are being made by at least 13 different manufactures, most of them use different firmwares and many are no longer receiving updates.

Avoid anything with the R4 name, and go with Acekard2, M3Real or CycloDS.

Thanks for the help, I found a M3Real with a 2 gig microSD for $33 on one of those sites I'm gonna get I think. Quick question, as I am new to this stuff.. This will emulate DS and GBA roms perfectly right? I go to the menu select the game and thats it?

All this just seems kinda too good to be true..

M3DS Real was my first card and remains my favorite. I only had a problem with one rom once but it was fixed within a day. As far as compatability goes, Yes. I'd say 99.999999% of the time DS games work. If you have a lite, go for M3, if you have a DSi, logic tells me that Acekard 2i is the way to go as more people have it, should you run into an issue you would be more likely to get help. With GBA games last I checked you NEED additional memory to play them. This comes in the form of a GBA cart for the lite. Sometimes you can find it bundled with the M3. Ususally it's labeled as an internet pack.

Oh and I recommend Dealextreme.com to buy at. They are very checp with everything. I just bought an Acekard 2i and a pouch for 15 bucks.

Thanks, this clears up a lot. I don't have a DS yet, but I'm likely to buy a DS Lite so I'll go for the M3.

Dealextreme has an M3Real bundled with the memory expansion for GBA games. It's cheaper than buying it separately.
