Wood R4 Save help please!

My Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney ROM on my Wood R4 was corrupted, and so I deleted it and copied a backup from my PC. It loads up, but won't read the save file from the old ROM.

I was in the middle of Case 3 and don't want to play it all again, so help would be appreciated! The NDS file and NDS.SAV file share the same name, "Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney - Investigations.nds" for one and "Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney - Investigations.nds.sav" for the other.

Why is it not working?
