Would someone please advise me on the following:
I`m in the process of collecting the series, "The Pacific" on my pc
The resolution is 1080i and in surround 5.1 Each hour long episode is around 4.7GB
I have a blu-ray burner on my pc and the file extension of the videos is .ts
What I would like to do is burn the series to a number of blank blu-ray dvd`s to watch on my normal blu-ray player/tv/home cinema system... keeping the HD quality (picture and audio).
Do I just copy the .ts video straight to blu-ray disc or do I need to convert it first so that it can be viewed on my TV.
Blu-ray dvd`s are too expensive to experiment with and I want to get it right first time. I`m hoping to get maybe 2 or 3 episodes to each 25 GB disc.
Thanks for any help.

Alavana, real quick solution for you would be to load your file into tsmuxer then remux to blu_ray disc. Then you just use imageburn to burn to disc.

If you use multiAVCHD, you can put 4-5 episodes on one disc.

Video TS is the standard video for DVDs. If you open a DVD from your PC, you will notice a file folder, "Video TS." This is where the video portion of your movie is. You may also see other file types on the DVD including IFO and VOB. Therefore, you can convert Video TS to AVI if you have minimal space and require a backup of your DVD movies. TS Video Converter is what you need to convert Video TS file to AVI, MP4, MOV, FLV, SWF and other popular video formats.

A Video_TS folder and a *.TS container(which most likely has X.264 HD Video) are two different things. The OP is inquiring about the latter.

Thanks for your help guys..... cyprusrom is correct.
The HD video files I have just have a .ts extension. There are no seperate folders containing audio and video. At the moment they playback on PC with no problem... I simply want to be able to burn them to blu-ray so they playback on my home cinema kit.
I know from past experience that I can put an avi file straight to normal DVD and it will playback without any problem, I wasn`t sure if the same applied here by copying .ts straight to blu-ray.
I shall give multiAVCHD a try
Cheers

Hi, cyprusrom, I had used multiAVCHD before. It worked fine on certain MKV and MP4 files. Most recently however, I had problems with this software on a number of video files. The first one is an MPEG-TS file with a duration of 22mn 34s. However, when it was imported to multiAVCHD using the 'ADD VIDEO FILES' tab, it showed up with 0 duration. When I tried to create an AVCHD disc for this file, the program stopped with the following error messages:
(RT) Invalid floating point operation - Line 23
(RT) Access violation at address 017E35F4 in module 'calclib.dll'. Read of address 00001C1D - Line 57.
The screen then blanked out and the program had to be terminated.
Complete file information and the log files for the runs are pasted below:
