Ok so i am running win7 64bit
I have read the guides for Megui and searched for solutions however i cannot encode using Megui, i allways get errors. Im not sure whether it is because of win 7? but i have followed the guide on here and cant seem to get it to work. Ryu's profiles no longer work with the upgraded megui.. and even installing the older megui i kept getting errors.

I want to take a 20gig M2TS file and reencode it to around 4-8GIG

Whats the best program to do this? which works with Win 7 64bit Is there a work around for win 7 for megui? or is there another program which works?

cheers

Try ripbot. Very easy interface. Size will depend on the bitrate you choose. There is really not too much more to configure.

I actually went back wiped the HDD reinstalled win 7 installed avisynth and encoders before megui and now it works, however on the presets some of them will not work properly i.e sync and video are jerky etc for example insane quality 2 pass sucks ass, however put it on high quality 2 pass and its flawless! big thumbs up

Glad it worked out. MeGUI is definitely my personal choice for encoding.
