Hello everyone,

I am wondering if there is a special method or program to determine whether a Blu-Ray is blank or not. I have several disks running around from my initial attempts at backing up my collection.

It seems my computer's pretty hit-or-miss when it comes to detecting blank media when I initially insert it; if it's blank, it will either tell me it's blank, or do nothing (which is what the spent media will do).

The only sure-fire way to find out if something is blank is to go through the process up to the point of burning, and then ImgBurn will either burn or tell me it's not blank.

I'm running Windows 7 - 64-bit, and have a Pioneer BDR-205BKS burner. If any other information is relevant, ask and I'll add it.

Thanks!
