Over the last few years as stand alone blue ray recorders have started to emerge I heard that when you are recording to blue ray discs either by directly recording to it or by dubbing material off the blue ray recorder hard drive that you had recorded earlier, the end result format of the blue ray disc is not in the same format as say commercial blue ray discs but in a format like VR mode in dvd format instead of video mode. This means you do not have menus etc and compatibility between blue ray players could be an issue. Is this true and is it still and issue or has this been resolved these days? If it is this is still the case why?
