I've been googling and searching the past couple of days for a guide or solution for this problem, haven't found anything so here's my dilemma:

I want to back-up my Taken Bluray so I can stream it to a Theater+ upstairs. There are a few scenes in the movie where the characters are speaking French. When playing back from the disc, English subtitles are shown.

I ripped the disc with AnyDVD HD and I used SmartLabs tsMuxer 1.106 to remux the main movie. I've tried selecting all of the english presentation graphic streams (0,1, 4 and 5). I've even tried selecting just 1 and just 2. In all three cases, no English subs during the French speaking parts.

I wasn't sure if the Theater+ was the problem so in all three cases I tried playing the remuxed file with PowerDVD, still no English subs during the French scenes.

Any ideas? Should I use a different software for remuxing (perhaps one that has an option for forced English subs?). Just an FYI, I do not want to compress my rips, I want them to remain in there Bluray quality glory :)

Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Demux the english subs (with tsMuxeR if you wish), use SupRead to view them on your PC. The stream with very few lines, maybe 50 or so, maybe less is probably the "forced" non english stream.

Include that stream in your remux. If your remux is a Blu-ray structure there is a way to automatically enable them, with BDedit. If you just remux to a media file I don't think there is a way to automatically enable subs, not with tsMuxeR at least. I suggest you simply turn on the subs when your start your movie, when the non-english speaking parts come up the subs will play.

Good luck.
