I'm running Vista and whilst using MeGUI (all apps fully up to date) I constantly keep getting a BSOD at random point through the encoding of the .mkv file.
I've used tsMuxer to demux the audio track and have the video stream as a .m2ts output and i'm resizing the video stream to the true 720presolution.
I can provide all the specifics if required to help resolve this problem but I was hoping someone may know what is causing me to receive the constant BSODs from the stop check ...
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.256.1
Locale ID: 2057
Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 124
BCP1: 00000000
BCP2: 86E8C020
BCP3: B2000040
BCP4: 00000800
OS Version: 6_0_6001
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 256_1
Any information at all would be very much appreciated!
I have re-ecoded previously without issue, a couple of files, so really not sure why this is starting to happen now.
In addition MeGUI will complete the encoding if i select the Xvidcodec, without issue (but i then can't use tsMuxer to merge th video and audio back together?!). But, when trying to complete the x264 encode this is when the crashes occur.
Hey,
The BSOD during a re-encode might be a coincidence. I had the same thing with my HP, BSOD at random. Turns out the BIOS needed updating. I suggest you contact your manufacturers help line or chat.

Ok, thanks for the reply. BIOS updated and surprisingly for the very next encode it worked a treat and I thought I was on to a winner, I was wrong.
The very next attempt, BSOD again, the very same STOP CODE. Still trying to figure out what the hell might be causing this, fustrating beyond belief!
