Can't connect Sony BR to internet

On Christmas my wife suprised me with a Sony Blu Ray player, BDP-S270. Problem is I can't connect it to the internet. I am able to get it on my network, I think, as I get the following message: Physical Connection: OK Internet Access: Failed. I have it wired, ethernet cable, to a microsoft router then the router to my modem.

So far I have done the following:
Added the Blu Ray's MAC adress to my router's base management tool
shut down/restart the router and modem.

Short of calling my ISP or resetting the router to factory specs, any advice out there?

Should I set the player up manually and with what settings listed? Thanks in advance.
