Can't Get Disc To Play On Blu-ray Player

I burnt a Maxell BD-R 25GB Disc and it plays fine on my HP computer but won't play at all in a standalone Panasonic BD-35 Blu-Ray player. I have the latest firmware update ver. 2.1 installed.
When I put the disc in the standalone it reads it then says play and immediately locks-up. I have to press pause and open to get the disc back out. I called Panasonic Tech Service and found them to be no help whatsoever. I don't know where to go from here and would greatly appreciate any help if any of you have had this problem as I haven't seen any mention of it on the forum. Thanks in advance for any help.
