Are the digital copy codes tied to the discs that they come with or will they work with any digital copy disc for that same movie?

For example: I already own the Up dvd and used the digital copy that it came with. I bought the up Blu Ray today and did NOT use the digital copy it came with. Now, I'm going to sell my Up dvd, including digital copy. Can I switch the CODES so that the buyer gets a digital copy but NOT switch the discs? (fyi, the disc I used doesn't stay in the blu-ray case, or I'd just switch discs AND codes).

More simply put, will the digital copy code that came with the DVD work with the digital copy disc that came with the Blu-Ray?
