I just received my Panasonic BD60 blu-ray player from Amazon today. I was playing "Cast Away", when it shut itself down. It started with a display message: "PLEASE WAIT"; then it read "BYE", and bye it went. I reset the player by holding the power button for three seconds as suggested. I also unplugged the player for a few minutes as suggested. I tried a different blu-ray disk. I tried a regular dvd disk. I downloaded a firmware update, but apparently, my player has the most updated version. Nothing has worked, and the manual doesn't even cover it.
Please help! "Cast Away" was just getting to the good part, and I have "Top Gun" on standby!
