I use AnyDvDHD (21 Day Free Trial) to rip movie files to the hard drive and ImgBurn (free) to burn.
(Full backup`s)

With movie files on the hard drive, I use Aiseesoft Blu Ray Ripper, convert to a avi file (XviD works for me), then put XviD file in ConvertXtoDVD. Now can burn just movie to DvD5 or DvD9.

Might want to check out BD Rebuilder.

I will also recommend to use Nero 10. From my point of view it is perfect your blu-ray
