For a while I had my laptop really close to my computer and I used a vga cable from my computer to the back of the tv.

I had to rearrange my things recently and had to by a vga extension cable. But for some reason now i can only get 1024 by 768 resolution on my tv (32" HDTV), even though in my nvidia options it says it can go to 1600 by 1200. I can't get anything higher than 1024 by 768.

I'm not sure if its the tvs problem or my graphic cards problem.

any help anyone?
