Hey everybody, I'm new here but I tried to find a similar topic for this question and couldn't. Anyways, There's a channel in AU that plays rare music videos with barley any logos at all and it's HD called Rage for those who don't know. I have alot of metal videos captured from Rage in HD, the 16:9 videos look amazing, here is one for example:

The problem I'm having is with the videos that were originally recorded in 4:3, I'm looking for the best way to convert these videos to an uncompressed DVD-R without losing too much of the quality it has and also trying to figure out why the 4:3 versions have this horrible black box around them, for example here:

Is there a way I can get rid of this terrible looking black box around the video and get the video back to it's original 4:3 ratio? I've tried clipping the video with Tmpgenc but it loses so much quality when it's done that way, I've been working on this for some time and it seems like every program I use either don't have the ability to do what I need or it absolutely kills the quality, and that defeats the purpose of even having these videos in HD, weather the black box is present or their just bad quality is the outcome.
