Do you have a legit memory card? I had some friends buy some fakes and their files wouldn't load properly.

Did you get a reputable copy of the .iso? Might want to get another copy elsewhere to see if it will work.

Do you have your CFW set to require a UMD in the PSP to play games off the stick? If so, do you have a UMD inserted? If not, have you tried different drivers?

Did you buy this game and attempt to rip your own .iso to play so that you don't worry about scratching or damaging or your original disc? If not... go buy the game.

As it is not even seeing the game (usually you get corrupted data) then is it labelled correctly? (.cso or .iso) and if it is then it can only be a bad dump - try again

I get this one a lot, when its in USB mode make sure you have AT LEAST the following folders

ms0:\
-----\ISO <--ISO in here.
-----\PSP
----------\GAME

(make the PSP/GAME folders)

[PSPWXP STATS]
PSP: [PSP N1001 (WHITE)][6.60 PRO-B10][8GB M2]
PS VITA: [PCH 1002][1.66][16GB MEMORY CARD]
3DS: [CTR 001 (BLACK)][3.0.0-6E][2GB SD][ACEKARD 2i]

Well any1 whos got a cfw psp should no wat a iso is and where it goes to play it... on the other hand the game not loading is nothin linkd 2 fake ms or wrong folder it needs a highr firmware. if ur on 5.00 m33-6 go up 2 5.50 gen-x, IF u want lol .then all ur homebrew quit workin and its unstable sometimes, so if i was u id try the UMDGen patch

look here for a relatively easy guide [url=http://http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f-149/firmware_5_55_6_00_games_decrypter_for_new_games-803375/][/url]

One would think that, however I make the same claim for all my users at work who can't even make a .pst file for themselves or understand what the file server is. Having CFW on your PSP in no way means you have any idea how to use it.

Something worth trying out, however I am personally running the same version of firmware as the OP and play Dissidia just fine. I actually purchased the game and then ripped my own .iso so i also know I have a reputable image on my memory stick.

Hopefully the OP has the game working by now... it's a fun game for a little bit.

well i always hated FF just cuz it was soo funny, ppl fighting with swords the size of cars and buildings but then i played #1 for psp and liked it for the turn by turn fighting (like pokemon lol)

then i played 2, the 3 and i like 3 better than 1, 2 cuz u can move but its just hard lol i cant even beat the 4th battle in the slums hahaha i feel stupid so i quit playin for a while and started playin brave story and that game is hella good. its got FFCC graphics and its like FF1 in the way that ur stationary but its only 150MBs lol

but im rambling anyways i wanted 2 ask u wats better crisis core or dissidia?, i played cc but just went back 2 play ff3 so i didnt miss anythin cuz i dnt wanna just play the game im really really late in the story and now im contradicting myself cuz im playing FF now lmao

I guess you can argue whether this is off topic or not... the thread IS titled Final Fantasy... rather ambiguious.

To give you my opinion fabledj18, neither Crisis Core nor Dissidia are that great. Both were fun to play through, and both were quick to run through.

Crisis Core's story is a must see for those who really enjoy the FFVII storyline. It is the prequel to FFVII and the ending of CC will put you right where FFVII starts.

Dissidia is a fighting game and completely different than the standard Final Fantasy games. I really only enjoyed it for the characters. No more message board discussions of "who would win: Squall or Cloud" you can simply take your favorite and battle it out.

The story in Dissidia was enough for a die hard Final Fantasy fan to want to see through to the end, just to complete another chapter in the Final Fantasy world.

If you liked FFI, I would suggest FFIV (which was originally released in the US as FFII on the SNES) That's my favorite. FFVII should be considered a must play if you haven't yet either.
