GTA LCS cso freezing issues

Hi, I converted my GTA LCS iso (confirmed 100% working, played it through myself) to a cso (compression level 1) to save space and the lag isnt bad at all, however everytime i head towards hepburn hights/harwood in portland or listen to k-jah it crashes with error reading gta umd on screen...my psp is running 3.90 m33-3...thanks in advance and sorry if this isnt in the right section XD

I just checked and both staunton and shoreside vale are fine...but anywhere north of the pay n' spray on portland just crashes the game...
