First of all, you have to be on custom firmware to run the "cso" loader. Second, it's an iso loader that can load csos also.
Since you are on firmware 6.30, you have to buy a pandora battery and make a magic memory stick if you want custom firmware. With custom firmware you can load home brew applications and isos or csos.
You can get a pandora battery from dealextreme.com for about 5$. And you can turn your regular memory stick into a magic one, and then chang it back after you have custom firmware. You need to do some research before you post, go to YouTube and search psp custom firmware.
If you are confused, just ask.
I'm asking because my psp was chipped before but someone updated the firmware so it no longer reads cso's. And thats why im asking. Surely if it worked before there should be an easier way?

As you said, someone updated the firmware so now you are back on official firmware. Which means there is no easier way. Also I doubt it was chipped, more like there was an alternative firmware put onto it, I highly doubt you got the Undiluted Platinum installed as this has been out of production for atleast four years now.
