CWcheat not showing ps1 game cheats

ok i'm having a major issue getting the psx game cheats to work with cwcheat
they work ok with psp games but when i open the cwcheat menu in a psx game, there's no cheats to be seen
i don't know what's going on, BUT i started to have this issue when i updated my cheatpops.db
before that everything was fine
but anyway, i open the database, and i try to save it with no modifying and the program complains about incorrectly formated codes
it does when i try to save it to either pspar or cwcheat
if i do normal psx it saves fine
my question is... how do i get the psx codes to work with cwcheat
do i need to convert them or something?
any help is welcomed
btw i'm running off on 6.60 pro b9 cfw on a psp 1000
and i'm not using the pandora battery

EDIT: well... looks like it was my 6.60 cfw that it didn't like D:
downgraded to 6.20 and everything is fine
