Installed cwcheat & seplugins - holding select for menu does nothing. Help ?

I installed cwcheat and did the seplugins and when I try holding select for the menu nothing happens. the game is monster hunter freedom 2

I know your trying to help but that guide says I have to upgrade and cant get the upgrade to work. can someone tell me why cwcheat start after doing all the seplugins
