First of all, I tried to read various tutorials. But unfortunately they're all outdated and I can't really seem to grasp the needed terms to get homebrew running on my PSP.

I have a PSP 1000 which I suppose irrespectively of the OFW, IS hackable.

The OFW of my device is 4.01. All guides I located were for up to OFW 3.5.

Supposing that it can be hacked, I shall install Pandora (do I need that special battery for that or not?) and then go on with installing homebrew.

I'd be grateful if anyone can help me on this.
