Im a pretty artistic guy and have built several gaming computers over the years but never really spent much time on the external details except to paint designs onto the case but on my new comp I really want to go all out and allthough I have some ideas allready there used to be a company called brain works based out of port washington back in 1995 and they specialized in building kits to drastically alter the external appearence of; computer towers, mice, keyboards, and monitors and allthough I cant imagine it being very usable on modern hardware If someone knows of a place to locate one of their old kits or if you know of a way to get in touch with the company if its still operating or a company that does similar work that would be great the kit Im most interested in is their start trek kit

With stuff like this, it tends to be done best if you do it yourself, that way there are no compromises. Have a look around and google some case mod threads - you'll find hundreds where people have detailed dozens of pictures of their work, the tools they use for the job, the different stages of the process and so on.

A dremel tool is your best friend when case modding.

If you want a custom case front, then you might consider getting some HDPE. It is a wax that has a very high melting point, and resembles plastic in most ways. It is very easy to machine and is also cheaper than most similar materials. (Those white plastic cutting boards are actualy HDPE). You can get a nice big piece of it for cheap from http://www.onlinemetals.com

You also might want to look around at frozencpu.com.
