is it possible to take the processor out of my dell machine which is a p4 2.66 and make it a p4 3.0 or even a 3.8 with no problems and if you need more info please let me know ill get it for you
You could replace it with a more powerful processor, as long as it is Socket 478, and supported by the BIOS. Realistically though, it won't make much of a difference to performance, so I'd recommend not doing it, and just waiting until you can buy a new PC instead, if you want more performance.
