It's day one for me at afterdown's forums. After reading many articles/threads, i saw many pro's who are glad to assist and help doing whatever someone needs on specific topics.
Anyway, i took some time gathering some parts for my new build, it's a Gaming HTPC, and i want it to be ready for any future overclocking/crossfiring options, therefore, i went with a Full Tower case that can fit everything possible, and also matches what will be it's surrounding decoration in my room, LOL.
Now, i like the build, but am slightly concerned about the PSU (850W), since i'd like to have the option to overclock and crossfire in the near future and im adding a total of 6 HDD's to the system (ones that i externally use will be installed inside for quick access and to reduce the use of more cords/cables and wires), so am not sure if 850W will suffice.
Just a heads up, i live in Kuwait, and the only good brands we have for PSU's are ThermalTake (Recommended by most stores), and Gigabyte, whereas other PSU's are chinese made and so cheap. I wanted to order the unit but sadly, due to stupid customs law on power supplies, i will be paying from double to triple the price of the unit.
Any and all advice, suggestions, criticisms, mentioning extra useful parts/tips etc. would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the link mrslicker, but i already tried this calculator, its not even near accurate because there's no LGA1155 chipset which im going to use.
I tried searching and got onto Corsair's PSU calculator, and the result was i'll be using about 835W, so i may get the same brand but with a 950 or 1000W.
Any suggestion on any other part i chose? Specially the SSD, all SSD's seem to have bad reviews on Newegg ;(
