this is a picture of how my screen looks when i play a game.

What could be causing this? i have a new motherboard and it also did it with my old one too. old was a 780i and the new one is a ASUS Deluxe.
have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers. i just need to know if there is anything that can be done to fix it or if RMA is the best thing to do.

ASUS Deluxe what? Most Asus boards can be troublesome, but all 780i boards were bad.
Typically, this is likely to be bad memory or graphics. Memory or graphics errors can also be caused by dodgy motherboards though.

P5N-T Deluxe Motherboard. i have OCZ pc6400 800mz Sli Memory.

The P5N-T Deluxe is another 780i board. If you can test with another graphics card / different memory, do so. However, replacing that board should be a priority. 780i boards are hideously bad.

i just replaced my motherboard. not to long ago. i dont think i want to waste more money on a board. ive tried a different card and everything is working fine. game dont crash or anything.

Then you already know it's a faulty graphics card then don't you :P
All I'm saying is be prepared to replace the motherboard again, as there's no guarantee that one will last any longer than the first.

the first one lasted about 2 years only because i replaced the heatsink and it touched and fried the board. my mistake. lol. either way thanks for the help. ill be RMAing my card.

ok. as much as i hate to post these. it turns out it wasnt my card doing this. it just did the same thing with the 1950 radeon card. here are the specs for my whole computer.
asus p5n-t motherboard, 4gb ocz sli 6400 memory 2.1 Volts, 750 watt power supply, 2.4 q6600 cpu @3.2, and well the x1950 radeon Video card until i get back my 260 black edition.
this is what i get after watching a show or video.

Check the RAM first, as that's easily replaced. OCZ Ram that requires such a high voltage to operate is notoriously unreliable, so that may be the cause of your problem. Run memtest with both sticks, then just one, then just the other, and also run your system with such configs and see what happens. If all clear, then it probably is your board. While a dodgy Power Supply could cause such issues, it is likely that with a different graphics card it would produce different errors.

come to think of it. i would get the same error with my old dell system but i had the 8800gt. i had posted here before. same problem two different systems. different video cards and power supplies.

no. the dell had the vista and the new build has windows 7. this is pretty damn weird. wonder what it could be. good thing im already saving for a new I7 system
