Cool thanks alot I just read that page about the fan . What about the rest of the parts I listed anything look like I'm paying too much for the same thing something cheaper could do ? Any compatibility issues ? Is the build worth the cost ?

Are you certain you want to use a Phenom II build? I ask because for $34 extra you can get a Core i5 750, a P55A-UD3L and again, 4GB of good 1600mhz CAS9 RAM. The case is fine, but the graphics card I have mixed opinions about. Unless you really want to use Eyefinity for an undemanding game, you're spending a lot on quite a weak graphiocs card. That $115 dollars could get this with a little to spare:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102824
The HD4850, although far less efficient than the HD5670, is literally double the performance. While it does not feature Eyefinity and DirectX11, the HD5670 isn't really powerful enough to use either of those features.
Where is your power supply?

The fourth link down is a corsair 550vx and I kinda want a card that has the d11 ability where the one you showed me don't I think and isn't thr one I have just a bit more powerful?
And as for the core i7 i5 i3 that's way to much for what I can get from the amds the i7 tops out at around 800 where as the phenom is comp aroung 1/10th the cost leaving me more cash for other parts ... I would like to stay with amd till int cost drops a bit

OK, I must be blind, I missed the PSU.
No, the HD5670 is a very weak card, designed for entry level gaming. It is designed to replace the HD4670 with DirectX11 features, but not necessarily exceed it much for performance. It is a low-power card that doesn't require any PCIe power connectors.
The HD5750 is your best bet if you want a more powerful card with DirectX11. It is marginally slower than the HD4850 and a lot more expensive, but gives you reasonable performance with DX11:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150448
As for Intels, sorry what? I just told you that an i5 costs $34 above the system you have chosen. It is a lot more powerful than the X4 955 system you have chosen. I don't know where you got the figure of $800 from, the CPU, board and RAM for the i5 only costs $410, versus the $376 of the X4 955.
AMD being comparable for a 10th of the price? $410 is not ten times $376, I think you need to do some more reading. On top of this, the i5 750 is a fair bit more powerful than the X4 955 in certain areas. It is also much more efficient, which will save you money in the long run.
I can only assume you refuse to buy Intel products due to having a bad experience in the past. While I can't force you to change your mind, I would urge you to consider buying thne better system. You don't need to produce imaginary over-inflated figures to defend your case.

1 I'm not trying to turn this into an argument.
2 I'm sorry I thought I said i7 975 (is around 980$) not trying to inflate .
3 thanks for your help what is the mobo that would run the i5 your talking about that would be comparable to price and power ?
Could you show me a build of the i5 using the same case so I could look it over of around 800 $
And at this state of the ssd is it a necessity yet or still too early to be mandatory upgrade ?

Where on earth are you getting 1/10th? That would mean you were spending $80 on the posts in the original post when you said it was around $800.
As for mobos I assume sam was referring to this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128412
Even if not the one Sam was thinking of, its a good mobo opening the door to use 6 Gbps SATA HDDs and USB 3.0 devices. Even if you dont use them now, the capability is there.
Sams pretty much gone into the details on why to go Core i5 rather then a Phenom, soo all I really feel I need to add is I vote for a Core i5 as well. The phenom isnt a bad chip, its just the Intel chips are all around better.

This is a cpu comparison
http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/2009-...1.6.1,1385.html
For video encoding the quads are better. For gaming you can just use a dual-core and and get a better video card.
Radeon cards are excellent, that's all I use. The hd5670 you want has a nice large fan which is a definite plus.
Phenoms can't be beat for the price compared to the intels. The phenom 9750 doubled my encoding speed compared to a dual core. For me it's a very good cpu and would easily recommend phenoms to anyone. Also a good feature of the AMD's is the ease of installing the cpu fan. To some people is not a big deal but you can't beat a single lever installation versus the intels 4 screw cpu fan.

Some applications it's about even, some the i5 takes a bit of a lead, and some it takes a huge lead. It depends which program you use.

Yes it should work fine. I tend to recommend Corsair memory instead of G-Skill but they're both good brands.
The Power supply you've used is fine. It's overkill really if you're only ever going to use a basic graphics card. A 400W CX or 450W VX would be ample. The system you've described, even if we upgrade to an HD4850, is only going to be using 200-250W tops.

Yes Johnny, I am well aware of the differences between a quad and dual core, but Im confused as to what this has to do with this thread. Firstly, you went from an AMD dual core to an AMD quad core, so whats that got to do with AMD vs Intel. Secondly, no one ever made mention of a dual core cpu so comparing quads to duals was rather out of place. Third, comparing coolers is, well, lame for lack of a better word atm. While cooling is important, it doesnt mean one chip performs better then the other.
As for the G.Skill, yes, theyre fine. I use these on my i7 860, the big bro to the Core i5 750, and there great sticks. The PSU is fine as well.

jony218 spams that message a lot, word for word. It's irritating because it's completely meaningless and confusing to new system builders. It gives the impression that the Phenom 9750 is a good CPU and that AMD CPUs are more powerful than Intels, when the reverse is true. The fan installation argument is also a joke. Intel CPU coolers are easy to install, no more difficult than AMDs at all.

The P55-UD3L I assume. I'm just checking as, believe it or not, some people try and sneak in components that they 'like more' against my advice and try and hide it!
As for the cooler, the CPU comes with a basic cooler that will be perfectly sufficient unless you either intend to overclock, or you want a really low noise system (The stock coolers are not terribly loud, they just aren't silent) If either of these two apply, then you should buy an uprated cooler. For moderate overclocking or for low noise operation, get one of these:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608016
or if you want a top performance cooler for a hefty overclock, or you want to overclock and keep a low noise level, then get this:
