I am actually planning to build a similar system with the new i5 SB as well =).

I personally would recommend cutting out some of that cash on that case, and put it towards a better video card. Honestly, there are plenty excellent 50-60 dollar cases that will more than satisfy your needs, your choice might be a bit excessive for just some standard gaming.

The PSU is nice too, but also seems slightly excessive unless you plan on really maxing this computer out in the future.

My knowledge might be outdated, but 4GB of ram is typically quite sufficient for gaming. I would also put more of that cash toward a video card.

Leaving Gigabyte for MSI isn't a good idea imo, i'd prefer, at least, the Asus Pro over both. Remember, it's always your choice and needs.

For RAM, go with the one's specially designed for SB CPU.

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) price is 30$ more.

Now be aware that you need a 64bit OS to operate more than 4Gb RAM because the 32bit OS can only handle about 3.7GB max, so more than that amount would be useless.

You chose i5-2500K (K means unlocked) for the CPU, are you willing to overclock it? if not, go with i5-2500, it's only a matter of 10$ difference, yet you could use it on upgrading other parts or getting some accessories, or pay for the RAM and only add 20 instead of 30$.

Hope this helps...

of all the things i LOST. i miss my mind the MOST !!
