Do you want us to tell you we're envious? We are.
Happy now? Bet you are.

You have very strange taste...not many people would build an I7 rig with only 3GB of ram, even fewer would install vista when windows 7 has been out for a while now...and even fewer would spend the insane price for such a poorly made mainboard.
"already had a Samsung SyncMaster 2693HM monitor, so I did not need another."
-Maybe you don't NEED another...

I actually have XP Pro installed, hence the 3GB of RAM, and I meant to say that I did not need to get a monitor.

Nothing is ever perfect..so lets bash M$ for taking the time to release a SP to update any bugs that are discovered after the release. Furthermore this is not vista. Yes there are still bugs but atleast its not bug infested like Vista was(or was claimed to be) on release.

Again I say, you have strange taste to build an I7 system with Windows XP86...but to each his own.

-It is made by Asus...they used to make quality components, but they have not done so for years. I can think of at least five brands that make I7 mainboards that I would take before Asus: DFI, Gigabyte, Intel, EVGA, Tyan.

Actualy, it is Vista...it is a glorified Vista SP2. That is why I recomend it even though the RTM just came out recently. I am still running RC1 on two systems, one of them used to have XP64, the other had Vista64. Both run faster and more stable with the release candidate for Windows 7 x64.

Actually, it is XP32. The 86 designation came with the wonderful, useless Vista OS.
And strange? I don't think I have strange tastes at all. I guess you forgot to read my entire first post, in this thread, but then again, I have seen many of your prior posts, and I always thought that you were a bit strange, in your thinking, because of those posts.
And, you go ahead and take your 5 favorites, before using an Asus mobo, but as in many posts of yours, that I have seen, you are wrong again.
Oh, and what are you going to do when you RC1 "sunsets"?

"Oh, and what are you going to do when you RC1 "sunsets"?"
I've got 5 months before that happens...then I'll just renew my Microsoft Subscription and get the RTM.
