I am looking for somebody who could say something about the optimal settings for my new motherboard and processor. What should i opt in in my case for tweaking my memory and and processor settings in order to get some kick from the computer.
What bios settings should i be using? My main HDD is sata 3 compatible.

Any comments? The memory seems little sluggish at moment. On cold run the processor runs around 47-52 celsius.

well from what i hear, 1333/1600MHz is abt the highest recommended for amd x4 cpus. Some kind of memory controller limit.) what ive done in the past(on intel stuff) i tweak the fsb first, then cpu mult, then go back to fsb as needed, then do memory. with that speed memory try upping your cpu multiplier and keeping you're fsb lower. i cant say for sure what, if any, fsb:dram ratio would be good for am3 4 core with ddr3 though, do some research on that. also amd cpus these days seem to like low latency since higher ram clocks arent easily achievable. dual channel is what runs on 890gx not triple channel, that could be a bottleneck, but maybe someone else here will know for sure. check cpu-z for more detailed frequency information, if you dont already know abt it. keep an eye on your voltages for all, try to keep within parameters or close, if possible.

In black edition, there are no limits, its overclockers edition. It also supports UCD feature (unlocking cores)

well yeah, but no. the limit im talking about is in the integrated(?) memory controller on the chip. thats why it isnt talked about to have 2000+ MHz ram on anything for amd other than hexacore. check this quote from amd's site:

. what the enthusiast lines allow you to do differently than regular edition (besides being faster to begin with) is work with multipliers in larger steps not just 3 or 5 down, etc. and the fsb (like most, not all chips - some intel cpus are starting to lock people out of this i think) is still able to be worked with. i actually have the same chip, one day ill be tweaking it too.

Well, its mostly like this: After a 4-5 hours, my computer starts to hung up, for a 30 seconds or so, theres "blip,click" sound and computer unfreezes. Iwe done tests if its the heat, but it isnt. When this happens, the temperature is around 50, just bout regular for my computer. Before i added the closed water cooler, it ran up to 85.
Now, it cant be reading problem, it works with sata3, and all tests look fine. Its when i am putting more and more file transfer when i start to see some hanging ups, which i assume is related to memory handles. This because computer cages are showing memory running bit low, but processors only at 45%
The memory is in a sets of 3, so i am wondering if changing memory tweaking handle from unganged to ganged would make any diffirence. And because the memories are tweakers memory, i am thinking if they should be set on 7-7-7-26 instead of the set 6-6-6-21. Or should i go up with them like 8-8-8-26.
Now i have done previously some processor overcloking with stepping, but never on memory modules, thatswhy i am little newbie on the matter. The bios looks actually great on the asrock, never seen more streamlined and to the point BIOS. It litterally allows you to unlock everything you might imagine you will need to clock the sucker up.
Thus its also little confusing the same time.

ok. i cant really comment on the hangups, except to recommend that you check the error logs (to access it, right-click 'computer' and select manage. you will see event viewer on left pane) from what i've read, unganged mode is what is usually recommended if your overclocking. lower latency is better, so stick with 6-6-6-21 unless you increase the MHz and their not as stable. i understand that it can be confusing, some of those settings are probably for overclocking *gurus* so check the manual for the settings definition/needs, and slowly increase your knowledge. peace.

No, dual screen using onboard integrated 3d card + onboard pci-express 3d card.
Using dual DVI from separate output, xfired.
Soon planning on going on 3 screens, untill the 12 year old tube gives out, then back to dual screens, other being dvi + hdmi

Ye i was right when i stated that my memory seemed sluggish, those modules are 7-7-7-21 for the tCL, tRCD, tRP, and tRAS parameters. And my onboard motherboard autodetected those as 8-8-8-24´s
