There are no rules about posting URLs at afterdawn, you don't have to block out the address.
Barebone packages are universally a bad idea, and these are no exception. While you of course get decent Intel CPUs, Intel's own motherboards are very primitive and you get much better boards from other companies. Since they also do not include memory in these barebones, you don't get a lot for the cost.
What are you using the new system for? Unless you do video editing or encoding work, you don't need the hyperthreading of the i7 860 and can use the much better value i5 750.

i use my system more for games. thats the main reason for building one. video editing not to much. what brands of mother boards do you prefer? i dont want to spend alot of money as im only swapping out the board memory and cpu. everything else will stay the same.

i use compusa.com because there is one a few miles from where i live. saves on shippin and handling. i wont have to wait 3 to 5 days for delivery.

Please use the post edit button, rather than posting multiple messages :)

1156 is better for your purposes as it's much cheaper, and the CPUs on it are just as fast. They just aren't as good at video editing.
Unfortunately CompUSA don't have a very good range of parts so you will be paying more with them even with a discount, than you will be with newegg. If you insist on using them though,:

As you see, much more expensive. Your decision.

Not with a moderate budget PC. You'd need to use huge detail settings in games to need more than 4GB.
