Hello all,
thanks for your time,
i last build my pc in 2004, its had its time,
i have not kept up with whats good or not since then,
i understand the specs, but models and new brands are beyond me.
could a kind person that knows more than me have a look at the below price list
and give me an idea "what you would buy".

Parts i already have
Tower case.
1x 1tb sata HDD
1x ???GB ide HDD
2x ide optical drives, burners.
1 x floppy disk drive, (dont know why) lol
1 x card reader thing,
1 x LCD monitor

the rest of the internals are up to be replaced, my power supply could probably stay,
but on the safe side ill get a new one.
i dont play pc games, or do any major graphic editing,
mainly net surfing ( do we still call it that?)
dvd & cd editing / burning
im thinking of running win7 professional? is ultra worth it?
want to future proof it a bit. i had a good run from this one..
amd athlon 64bit thingo etc

my budget is around $500ish AUD

and i buy my stuff from MSY
