Hey the old fan on my ATI Raedon X1950 Pro sucked so i have just recently bought a Thermalright HR-03 Rev.A cooler for it. But according to this http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_page/p...r03_on_1950.htm i would need to use a non-electrical conductive washer otherwise part of the fitting would be touching the board. Is this really completely neccesary and where could i get some?

That would make perfect sense. Check with Radio Shack or any other retailer selling small electrical hardware. If you have time, I would even ask Thermalright if they would send you a couple. I doubt this would be the first time they've heard of this issue.

You don't have to go out and buy washers. Just get a piece of thin plastic, cut some small circles out, and poke/drill holes in the center of each circle.
