For some reason my fastest computer has it's OS loading longer than on 2 of my slower computers.
It takes about 16 of those bars before it gets to the log in screen while for my other pc's it's 7 and the other is about 10 bars and their slower pc's.
I looked in the msconfig there's nothing there on the startup program thing, I also checked the file things, it's a 200/600gb filled up hard drive. While on my older pc's there's more at startup and more hard drive space taken. My hard drives are running on SATA while both older pc's run at on IDE.
I have the UD3R mobo and I noticed that the SATA port runs at the speed of IDE I supposed unless it's in RAID config to run at SATA speed. Correct me if I'm wrong. But I asked Sam before and he told me my speeds were correct.

Is it because it's running in SATA is that what makes it slower? Thanks.

The OS loading time has nothing to do with the PC's performance, it is almost entirely down to driver loading. Some hardware components can add up to 8-9 seconds to the loading of Windows (XP).
