hey everyone.

so i've had this hooked up for a while through a DVI-HDMI adapter and a HDMI cable. it has always worked but my resolution is shit.

right now, i'm stuck at 1152x648, and the reccomended settings are 1280x720. personally i think it looks even better on 1366x768.

problem is, whenever i set it to the reccomended settings or 1366x768, it doesnt fit on the screen.

at 1280x720, it is too big in general. it doesnt fit in any part of the screen. i will post a Paint drawing to show this. while at 1366x768, it looks perfect, except for some reason the whole display area is shifted to the right, so i can't see the far right of the screen. it's a really stupid and screws everything up.

i will make 2 drawings to show what i mean, because my camera isn't good enough :P

anyways, does anyone know how to fix this alignment problem?

hopefully you guys understand what my diagrams show, they're crap but understandable lol

thanks for any help

None of what you said really matters until we know that the resolution of your screen is.

If you are "overdriving" or "underdriving" the maximum resolution of your screen you will get a less than optimal result.

If the max resolution is 720p then the panel resolution of the screen is 1366 x 768 and that will be the optimal resolution you should be running at.

This doesn't appear to be an issue of alignment, but rather an issue of matching the optimal display rate.

Does your TV have a VGA port? What will it display. You may have an issue with the HDMI port.

PCs are designed to work with 1280x720 instead of 1366x768. Just use that instead.
