hey so i have no other computer within this state to figure out which is messed up, i have a new 5770 that replaced my old 4870(it was artifacting pretty badly...and still dealing with saphire over getting a new one (6 months after i started process D:)) but this new 5770 has it's own problem going on, it's kinda making a ripple effect on my display, and i figure it's most likely a monitor or gpu problem... it only seems to get bad when i'm in a 3d app, or when i have to switch between 3d and 2d often. i contacted xfx about it and they replied along the lines of and i quote "not my problem." so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance,
JKL

I've heard of flickering with VGA before, one of my friends has a 4870 that does it badly on VGA, but has no problems with DVI. Try DVI or HDMI on something else if you can.
